Got a sweet tooth? Check out these give DELICIOUS deserts crafted by Kinloch Lodge's master chef

Whether you need something to warm away those winter blues, a sweet treat on a hot summer's day or you just fancy treating yourself...

At Kinloch Lodge there is always something on the menu to satisfy your cravings.

We are very lucky to have two extremely talented in house chefs.

Orienne, who is originally from France, joined our team with her husband Andreas in 2017.

She is a master of pastries and deserts, loves experimenting with new ingredients and creating food that is equal parts culinary art and downright delicious.

Here, Orienne has picked some her favourite creations over the past 12 months.

But she is always trying something new.

Pop in and try some of her creations yourself.

We are open from 9 am to 6 pm everyday and for dinner in the summer. Dinner is also served by reservation only in the winter.

See you soon.

Orienne with her husband and colleague at Kinloch, Andreas

For Orienne, the beauty of the being a pastry
and desert chef is in the creativity.

She left life behind in Austria, where her husband Andreas is from, for a new start here in Kinloch.

In her words, the best thing about working and living here is simple.

'The scenery,' she says as she puts the finishing touches to her famous carrot cake - deliciously moist and topped with dried apricot, pumpkin seeds and cream cheese icing.

'Everyday, when I walk to work it's like walking to paradise.'

Chocaholics would have gone weak at the knees for Orienne's creation on New Year 2017/18.

She perfectly crafter a golden chocolate dome with a delicious raspberry ice cream filling served with fresh summer fruits, vanilla cream and blackcurrant sauce.

The pièce de résistance though was the molten chocolate sauce, which was poured over the top of the dome, melting it, to uncover the cool ice-cream filling. Heaven

A New Year's treat - especially for chocaholics

Next up, shortbread with a  little bit more. Here Orienne cooked up a beautiful lemon, basil shortbread served with melt-in-the-mouth meringue and a slice of candied lemon. Zesty

France is the land of love and native Orienne treated couples to a romantic and delectable treat on Valentine's Day.

Here we have a heart-shaped chocolate and rosemary Mille-Feulle - three layers of puff pastry cuddling  the creamy chocolate filling.

One the side is a gorgeous pink sphere of mixed berry ice cream and fresh raspberries.

A St Valentine's special

More chocolate now, because, well, because chocolate. A rich dark chocolate mousse, served with candied orange slices, zest and topped with a snapping apple crisp.

Rich dark chocolate mousse

Perfect for summer this one. It's a zesty lemon curd mousse, accompanied by a rosemary butter crumble and finally a bitter orange zest to cut through all that lovely zesty-ness. Wow.

And finally...

Sometimes we got a bit crazy. This amazing spread was put together the Rural Women's reunion which was hosted at Kinloch.

Just look at all those goodies!
